Humidifier Filters

A humidifier moisten the dry air in your home to promote a healthy comfortable living environment. The most important aspect of the unit is the humidifier filter. The air in our homes circulates through the wetted media trapping particles and adding water to moisten the air. Moisture in your home’s air can help to prevent sinus problems, itchy skin and sore throats during the dry winter months. Along with the health benefits, humidity also helps to preserve wood furnishing and prevent static electricity. It is recommend you change humidifier filters every 90 days or less depending on the type of water you have in your area. To help prolong the filter life in your humidifier unit, the use of water treatment chemicals will help prevent the growth and build-up of micro-organisms in the water reservoir. Filters are available for many different units including Holmes, Duracraft as well as many other models. Filters are available for many humidifier models including Honeywell and Duracraft.
